Ron Paul is wrong, Iran is in fact armed and dangerous

This is truly neo-conservative rhetoric…similar to what was used in 2003 with Iraq…another attempt to enter into endless and unwinable wars. Reproducing Kristol propaganda is foolish without facts.
Under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), a signatory state has the right to enrich uranium to be used as fuel for civil nuclear power. Such states have to remain under inspection from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Iran is under inspection, though not under the strictest rules allowed because it will not agree to them. Only those signatory states with nuclear weapons at the time of the treaty in 1968 are allowed to enrich to the higher level needed for a nuclear weapon.
Iran says it is simply doing what it is allowed to do under the treaty and intends to enrich only for power station fuel or other peaceful purposes. It says the UN resolutions are politically motivated. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said: “The Iranian nation will not succumb to bullying, invasion and the violation of its rights.”
Remember also that Ahmadinejad is not the ruler of Iran…Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who is reported to have issued a fatwa some time ago against nuclear weapons, has said: “We fundamentally reject nuclear weapons.”
Further and finally, Iran has the right to make weapons as self-defense. So, Paul is right once again.
Do you have any earthly idea of the stated objectives of Iran and the Ayatollah’s? I know you don’t because you wouldn’t be supporting Paul and wrote the above ridiculous comment. They have stated repeatedly their objectives, it has nothing to do with “Energy” or “Defense”.
Here is a tip: study Islamic Jihadist history and importantly Islamic Theology. In this case the “Hidden Imam” along with the Doctrine of Abrogation.
btw: Iraq was a terror sponsor state. There are 23 different reasons cited in the Iraq War Resolution. http://husseinandterror.com
More propaganda. Let me encourage you to buy and read Sheuer’s Imperial Hubris for a definitive look at U.S. Foreign Policy in that part of the world. But again I re-iterate why we should not invade Iran:
1. Its not in the Constitution to police the world.
2. Iran is in economic and social turmoil, and any attack by us will solidify the young around the old hardliners.
3. Iran is surrounded by American forces and is bluffing out of self-defense.
4. Ahmadi-Nejad is in a power struggle with the clerics and is much weaker than we think.
5. Israel will annihilate with nuclear weapons any nation that attacks it.
Thanks to fightapathy for these thoughts.
