you can install kindle on your own computer as if you own a kindle. Just go to amazon site and click on kindle and get instructions there. I’ve had kindle on my laptop for many years. works great.

You don’t need a kindle reader. Your desktop can install Kindle for free, and your other tablets can have free Kindle as well.
