    I have often thought that legalism is an ante-room to apostasy. Legalism loves to go beyond Scripture in order to find yet more things we will fail to measure up on. Interestingly, ‘over-emphasis’ on Grace does not seem to produce the same number of either ‘backsliders’ or serious apostates!
