I confess I either watched or followed closely all thirteen (?) debates so far. I love them. I am addicted to them. On the other hand, too much attention is given to them, which shapes the entire media’s perspective. Unfortunately, the media shapes much of public perception.
Rick Perry was a force to be reckoned when he entered the race. In September, Perry had a lead over Romney. Today there is debate whether he meets the criteria to be a part of the next debate before votes in South Carolina. My friend, Daniel Alders, has written a fine letter to the Texas Governor. He stresses that Perry does not need to attack Romney with childish arguments, but rather stand on his own merit as governor.
Perry’s downfall began with his infamous oops moment. That brief minute was catastrophic for Perry’s future. The inability to remember the third agency essentially destroyed Perry’s bid for president. The latest polls show him far behind in South Carolina. Perry needs a miracle, otherwise, South Carolina is his last stand.<>
